Virtues of Dhul-Hijjah

Hi gorgeous peeps!
My Muslim readers, (those who aren't can still read to get a better understanding :) many of us are aware of the fact we will celebrate a second Eid or better yet "the goat Eid" in the next few days but a lot of us have forgotten the significance that follows before this great celebration. I've included a link to an amazing article I would recommend sparing 5 minutes and reading. It mentions some of the amazing virtues of worship during these 10 days and what you can do to take part. While others have been privileged to complete Hajj (Pilgrimage), we can take our share by immersing ourselves in a few good deeds and actions:

The Messenger of Allah, upon whom be peace, said:

"There are no other days that are as great as these in the sight of Allah, the Most Sublime. Nor are there any deeds more beloved to Allah then those that are done in these ten days. So increase in tahlil (to say la illaha illallah), takbir (to say allahu akbar) and tahmid (to say alhumdulillah)." [Reported by at-Tabarani in al-Mu'jum al-Kabir].

Urban Modesty ~ Eid Inspiration #3

The fit to this dress was phenomenal, literally fit me like a glove! Although it was pretty fitted, the bottom of the dress had incredible amount of material so it flowed beautifully when I walked. I love that it was a deep black because not only can you wear it several times, you can wear it several different ways. I can't wait to style it again.

A La Mode Collection!

Happy Sunday folks! How was everyone's weekend? I can't believe the weekend went by so fast, back to hustling tomorrow. I wish I could hit my snooze button for a little longer... Kimono's are such a trend this Spring/Fall and I think they're the perfect modest staple for this season. Chevron Stripes!

Hi!!

I'm really starting to hate my camera so much now ugh! The quality has been lacking and the pictures come out blurry most of the time, waaah. Can someone suggest a good camera?!

Anyhow, I bought this Chevron print dress and debated for a week if I loved it or if I was over it. I was kind of over it but then I couldn't find anything to wear last minute (does that happen to any of you >_< loll) so I threw it on. Unsatisfied with it's boring look, I decided to add some color by disguising a scarf into a cardigan. Genius right? ;)
