YESSSSSS, its FRIDAY! I love Fridays for so many reasons. It is my favorite day of the week and I'm sure that goes for many of you!
I've taken a week off from work as were finally finalizing our new home purchase :D!!!! The closing of the home is on March 31st - please drop me a prayer that is all goes well. I'm so excited, can't wait to share it with you guys!
Edit: if you've read this post, leave me a 😍 On my latest Instagram pic!!!! Love you guys!
Now I need to start packing...and man I hate packing. I dread packing for trips - omg I can't even imagine packing to move! Waaaah, if you guys have any tips please leave them for me! I can use all the help I can get.
We went to look at a couple appliances yday and I wore this comfy co-ord set c/o Poplook:
What a busy weekend it was! Between finalizing our home purchase, attending a wedding, furniture shopping, taking Isa to an interactive kiddie class, and cooking some yummy home cooked meals, the weekend flew by bringing me right back to Monday and straight into the work grind! Geez, how come the weekdays don't go by as fast as the weekend? :P
I clearly was oblivious to how much time and energy goes into house hunting & then finalizing everything! But I am sooo excited and I can't wait to share my new home with you all!
I didn't get a chance to lug my camera around as we were in and out of so many places but I got the hubby to snap a couple of OOTDs at the model house itself (lol) because you know, gotta do it for the gram!
Aren't these the SWEETEST shoes ever? They are SO cute and not to mention SO comfy. My feet were happy cause I wore them all weekend long.

As most of you might've seen from my Snapchat & Instagram, I took a weekend trip to Vegas with my sisters & my cousins! Although my heart broke from the thought of being away from Isa for a full 3 days, it was a MUCH needed vacay. I couldn't believe I got to sleep 3 full nights without any interruption lol. Oh the little things in life that we take for granted!
We did a bunch of sight seeing, hotel hopping, and of course dinning at some really fancy and then some really casual eateries/restaurants. By far my favorite experience was at the Beauty & Essex restaurant. The ambiance and food was phenomenal!!! I can't wait to go again or perhaps checkout the one in New York the next time I visit!
We really wanted to watch JLo but unfortunately her last show was the day we landed and we could not find the right amount of tickets to seat all 6 of us! In past Vegas experiences, I've seen the Blue Man Show & Cirque De Soleil so I wasn't really in the mood to watch a similar show again so we kind of skipped out on watching a show altogether.
Places we visited:
1) We stayed at the Palazzo Hotel which was central on the strip so everything was nearby and easily accessible. I think for a place like Vegas, hotel location is super important!
2) To name a few, we dined at Beauty & Essex (great for a fancy dinner out), Gordon Ramsay (HALAL burgers here!!!), High Tea at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, Pink Donuts (so yummy)
We also visited the Hoover Dam which was about 40 minutes away so that was super fun! We also went to a popular donuts place called Pink Donuts as noted above (and had a super rude encounter with 2 grown ass men who were having a fuss because there were 6 of us line - well hello, we got there before you, so annoying!) that I recommend you guys to try out if you're ever in the VEGAS area, those donuts were something else, mmmm!!!
Shout out to Avis, my sister partnered with the company and through their courtesy, we had a baller Mercedes ride the whole weekend which was an additional perk! Thank you, AVIS!
LASTLY, as a breastfeeding mom, I had to take care of my milk situation and I didn't have the heart to pump and dump so I was determined to save all my milk and bring it back. Luckily, it worked out and TSA cleared the milk (they did test it through the machine) and were very kind and accommodating. I won't lie - I was a little worried given I do wear Hijab and I just didn't want any unnecessary fussing but the individuals working that day were so kind! So any moms out there, don't give up! You can totally take your breastmilk back to your little one! :)
It feels so good to open a blank white blogpost and fill it up with all my rambling thoughts & pictures. I miss blogging so much!!! I wish I could blog a lot more frequently then I currently do right now but hey - I need to cut myself some slack - I have so much going on, my plate is literally overflowing!
Quick BABY update - Isa is getting so big, he's almost 6 months and he is at that super CUTE responsive age and he demands a whole lot of attention. And when I mean a whole lot, I mean a whole LOT! He totally understands when I walk away or I'm out of sight - it's so cute, I feel like this is such a great bonding time! I loveeeeee him and can't wait to watch this little guy grow.
Anyways, the hubby & I have been considering moving for a couple months now and I think we are almost close to getting our dream home! We did some house hunting last year while I was about 5-6 months pregnant but the stress of that made me get over it so we had put a halt on the search. Now that pregnancy is over and I'm almost back to normal, I'm so excited and CAN'T wait to share this new journey with you all once everything is finalized. I'm ecstatic at the thought of decorating a new space! This house will be much bigger so I'm happy I can finally put Isa's jumper, toys, and walkers tucked away in a game room out of sight so my living room can start looking normal again - lol!
I'll be back with my Vegas recap, the trip was so much fun - a much needed vacay!
