easy homemade chili recipe!

hey babes!
Today's post will find you a little different - you get to come into the kitchen with me today!
Before getting married, I would OCCASIONALLY cook - you know, the pampering by the lovely mother and just being so busy with school - there really was no need for me to be behind the stove - at least at that time. Now fast forward to getting married AND having a baby, well yeah you guessed it, I have to cook now lol. I mean I'm no Kardashian with a live-in chef *insert crying face*... so that kind of leaves me with no choice.
Anyway, I never hated cooking but I'm one of those impatient people that can't wait hours for a dish to cook. I like it to be done jalid jaldi (quick) lol!
One of my favorite things to cook on a lazy day or a day I feel like eating something hearty and warm is CHILI! OMG, I love Chili - it's seriously sooooo yummy and not to mention so EASY to make. If I'm saying it is easy, please take my word for it, it's EASY!!!
Sharing my recipe below (bear with me if my explaining method sucks, first time doing this):
What you'll need for the chili:
- Ground lean beef or turkey/chicken (your choice, I usually use beef)
- one onion
- 1 can of corn
- 1 can of petite diced tomatoes or you can dice up your own fresh tomatoes
- 1 can of Kidney beans (I used one with chili sauce)
- 1 packet of taco/chili seasoning
Toppings (optional)
- 1 avocado cubed
- Shredded cheese
- Cilantro sprinkled
- Jalapenos sliced
- teaspoon of Sour Cream
What to do:
Chop your onions and brown them with a little bit of chopped garlic. Add the meat and let it cook thoroughly  on medium heat (you shouldn't see anymore pink).
- Add Paprika, salt, pepper, oregano, parsley, and a little bit of taco/chili seasoning to taste
Once meat is cooked, add the can of diced tomatoes and let cook for a few minutes
- Add the kidney beans, let cook again for a few minutes
- Add the corn
do a quick taste check and add a little bit more seasoning as needed
Let simmer, DONE!!!!
Told you that was easy! You can dress up your chili with any of the toppings I mentioned above! If you try this let me know how it turns out, yum!
