Sharing some stunning pictures of the Sheikh Zayed better known as Grand Mosque today! While we were in Dubai, I only felt that it was absolutely necessary to take a quick drive to Abu Dhabi (about an hour and half away) to visit one of the most beautiful Mosque to exist today! The pictures do it no justice, you could spot the Mosque from miles away as we drove towards it. We didn't get a chance to see it during the day (when it's ALL white) but its beauty was not compromised during the night.
I only had my zoom lens on me so I wasn't able to capture the entire vicinity but here is what I got:
Here is a picture of what the entire Mosque looks like
Interesting fact about the mosque The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque's design and construction "unites the world", using artisans and materials from many countries including India, Italy, Germany, Morocco,Pakistan, Turkey, Malaysia, Iran, China, United Kingdom, New Zealand, Republic of Macedonia and United Arab Emirates. In order to blend in with the customs and dress code of the Mosque, I found it fit to wear my CoverdBliss Kaftan in 'Desert Rose' for the time I was there. I'm so glad I packed this Kaftan, it just felt so perfect for the occasion. If you're on the quest for one, I highly recommend CoveredBliss and I really mean it! The fitting, the material and flow, and its intricate detailing are just some of the few things I absolutely loved about it. Lastly, the quality speaks for itself!
Fun fact: The first few pictures of me 'posing' are before the guards stopped me and requested only 'simple pictures' are to be taken. LOL that was kind of embarrassing!!
