Velvet in Jilbabs R Us!

Hi Guys!
I'm wearing this velvet open cardi style abaya from Jilbabs R Us. Since winter decided to welcome it's stay here in Texas, the abaya wasn't too thick to rock. I simply paired it over a black top and jeans for added coverage! As you can see in the pictures below, the abaya has a small decal/embellishment in the center of its back that dresses it up a bit! I would say the 'small' was still a bit big on me, so definitely size down.

What I'm wearing: Abaya - c/o Jilabs R Us, Scarf - Cover33, new collection

If you fancy velvet, you may love this style. It's my first time wearing an abaya that was full velvet, it kept me warm when needed so I'm a happy camper. :)

Covered Bliss - style me two!

Hi Guys!
Lets take a moment to appreciate this stunning dress from CoveredBliss! First off, I'm so glad I found this company, they cover everything from east to west in terms of fashion. I wore this flowy dress while I was out and about in Karachi. As a hijabi, my #1 concern for dresses is the 'see through' factor. I appreciate the fact this company kept that very point in mind while creating their plethora of dresses. I didn't have to wear anything underneath and the dress fit like a glove! And it's a TRUE circle dress which means lots and lots of flow. The picture below can attest to that!

What I'm wearing: Flowy Dress c/o Covered Bliss, Glitter Scarf - Cover33 new collection, Sunglasses - Prada, Bag - Chanel

I spotted this historic monumental landmark (Jehangir Kothari) while driving past one of the busiest freeways in Karachi. I knew this would serve as the perfect back drop for this gorgeous flowy dress so I had my husband plan a trip for a photo-session! The style kind of reminded me of Turkish architecture though, would you agree?
For those of you on holidays, hope everyone is enjoying their time off!
Lots of love!

Grand Mosque, Abu Dhabi

Hi Beauties!
Sharing some stunning pictures of the Sheikh Zayed better known as Grand Mosque today! While we were in Dubai, I only felt that it was absolutely necessary to take a quick drive to Abu Dhabi (about an hour and half away) to visit one of the most beautiful Mosque to exist today! The pictures do it no justice, you could spot the Mosque from miles away as we drove towards it. We didn't get a chance to see it during the day (when it's ALL white) but its beauty was not compromised during the night.

I only had my zoom lens on me so I wasn't able to capture the entire vicinity but here is what I got:

Here is a picture of what the entire Mosque looks like

Interesting fact about the mosque The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque's design and construction "unites the world", using artisans and materials from many countries including India, Italy, Germany, Morocco,PakistanTurkeyMalaysia, Iran, ChinaUnited KingdomNew ZealandRepublic of Macedonia and United Arab Emirates.  Wikipedia

In order to blend in with the customs and dress code of the Mosque, I found it fit to wear my CoverdBliss Kaftan in 'Desert Rose' for the time I was there. I'm so glad I packed this Kaftan, it just felt so perfect for the occasion. If you're on the quest for one, I highly recommend CoveredBliss and I really mean it! The fitting, the material and flow, and its intricate detailing are just some of the few things I absolutely loved about it. Lastly, the quality speaks for itself!

Fun fact: The first few pictures of me 'posing' are before the guards stopped me and requested only 'simple pictures' are to be taken. LOL that was kind of embarrassing!!

Desert Saffari

Hi Guys!
So we made a quick (and when I say quick I mean hardly a three day trip) to Dubai before finally heading back home to Houston. I'm going to have to come back and elaborate on this post but ALL I have to say is - DUBAI is something else. They've done an excellent job on developing that country.

Anyways, here is a look into our desert safari day (unreal amount of fun!)

We did the 'Arabian Nights' tour in case anyone wanted to know.

I'll be back with more!
